EQS Ensemble 'Her Watery Eyes'
EQS Ensemble 'Her Watery Eyes'
'Her Watery Eyes' documents the first meeting of what would soon become EQS Ensemble.
EQS Ensemble is a modern attempt on chamber music - dissolving the usual framework of the genre by incorporating only sparse and sporadic arrangements, and disregarding the written themes and melodies in favor of improvisation and coincidental structure through interplay. However, the physical aspect of a chamber group is kept intact as a small ensemble of four instruments - guitar, piano/keys, cello and flute. This mixture of electroacoustic sounds, the free flowing approach to composition, but with the preserved intimacy of the small setting instrumentation, makes way for a weird and dreamlike trip - distant but ever so close, intimate but dissolved in abstraction.
The three parts of 'Her Watery Eyes' clocks in at 29 minutes, and is available for streaming on all platforms as well as on limited edition single-sided cassette tape.
